Gevelsberg, Germany, 25 November 2025. – With the tightening of the F-gas regulation and the looming PFAS bans, one thing is clear: industrial cooling technology is facing a fundamental transformation—forcing companies to adapt. Seifert Systems, an internationally experienced specialist in thermal management for industrial enclosures, recognised this challenge early on. Its answer: a new cooling unit using the future-proof natural refrigerant R290—unveiled for the first time at the international SPS Smart Production Solutions 2025 trade fair in Nuremberg.
With its new SLIMLINE NEO cooling unit, Seifert is setting a new benchmark in industrial air conditioning. At the core of the SLIMLINE NEO concept is the use of the natural refrigerant R290 with a global warming potential (GWP) of only 0.02. The advantage: the refrigerant R290—natural, PFAS-free, and with a GWP of just 0.02—is not subject to current or proposed F-gas or PFAS restrictions, making it a truly future-proof solution. With the new SLIMLINE NEO refrigeration units, Seifert customers can transition directly to the future technology—without having to invest in multiple interim solutions.
High-performance, energy efficient and low impact on the environment
Another benefit of R290 is its impressive cooling capacity, even with a significantly reduced refrigerant charge. Due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, R290 delivers full performance even at elevated ambient temperatures. The new cooling units are equipped with inverter technology featuring stepless control, allowing the cooling output to adjust precisely and efficiently to the required load. This ensures a very stable temperature in the enclosure resulting in less condensation and extended lifespan of sensitive components and electronics. As a result, the new cooling unit achieves outstanding energy efficiency. In its largest configuration, SLIMLINE NEO reaches an EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) up to 3.6 —using only 25% of the refrigerant typically required. The combination of low refrigerant volume, low GWP, and high energy efficiency results in a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
Compact design and maximum safety
For SLIMLINE NEO, Seifert collaborated with industrial design agency OundO to rethink the entire unit design. The housing is nearly one-third smaller than comparable models, resulting in reduced weight, lower vibration, and improved component protection. Safety was also paramount. The unit is designed to meet all safety requirements for refrigerants classified as A3 under IEC/EN/UL 60335-2-40. To ensure operational safety, the housing prevents any possible leakage of refrigerant into the enclosure. Seifert’s 60 years of experience and a CO₂ neutral production facility complete the equation. SLIMLINE NEO is manufactured in facilities certified to the international standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
Three performance ranges, elegant industrial design with custom options
SLIMLINE NEO demonstrates its strengths wherever sensitive electronics or processes require reliable cooling. Global applications can be found in mechanical and plant engineering, food and beverage, IT and telecommunications, renewable energy/battery storage, automotive, environmental and medical technology sectors. The cooling unit is available in three sizes and performance classes, with a choice of surface finishes: powder-coated mild steel or stainless steel. Both the surfaces and integrated lighting can be customised to reflect the customer’s brand identity. On request, Seifert also provides tailored solutions for specific requirements.
High-efficiency, certified filter fans for indoor and outdoor use
In addition to the new SLIMLINE NEO, Seifert will be presenting its latest filter fan series SOLIVENT PRO for effective enclosure ventilation in both indoor and outdoor environments at the trade fair. Thanks to advanced ec technology with stepless speed control, the filter fans deliver outstanding energy efficiency, offering an optimal price-performance ratio. All product variants are protected against contamination and moisture and comply with stringent international protection standards. Depending on the model, the filter fans are certified according to IP 54 and 55, Type 12 and 3R. FDA-compliant versions approved by the US Food and Drug Administration are also available on request. Seifert additionally offers a protective cover providing exceptional resistance against dust and powerful water jets in accordance with protection class IP 56 or Type 4/4X UL. All filter fans are available in various colours and allow tool-free installation as well as quick and easy filter replacement.
